Design Review Commission (DRC)

The Design Review Commission is a council appointed seven-member volunteer commission that plays a major role in nearly all aspects of design review.

The Design Review Commission's duties include:

  • To protect property rights and values
  • To enhance the built environment, make reports, hold public hearings and perform all other duties as may be prescribed by the Idaho Code and the City Code
  • To review development proposals as required by the City Code
  • To provide recommendations to the City Council on issues that the City Council may refer to the commission
  • To comply with all city policies, procedures, and regulations

Meeting Dates:

The Design Review Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of the month in the afternoon.  Meetings take place at Coeur d'Alene City Hall, Upstairs in Conference Room #6 710 E. Mullan Avenue.

All meetings are open to the public and publicized to allow and promote public participation in the decisions of the Commission.

*Please note any final decision made by the Design Review Commission is appealable within 15 days of the decision pursuant to sections 17.09.705 through 17.09.715 of Title 17, Zoning.
