Housing Resources Toolbox
In addition to the City’s zoning and planning efforts, several local and regional organizations provide housing assistance, homeownership programs, rental support, and attainable housing solutions. These partners form an important part of our community’s housing toolbox.
Local and Regional Housing Partners
- Panhandle Affordable Housing Alliance (PAHA) Led by Executive Director Maggie Lyons, PAHA promotes homeownership opportunities in Kootenai County through programs such as shared-equity homeownership. - Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho Builds and repairs affordable homes for families in need through sweat-equity partnerships. Operates the ReStore in Hayden for home improvement materials. Website: northidahohabitat.org
- Idaho Housing and Finance Association Provides home loans, rental assistance, housing preservation programs, and resources for homebuyers and renters across Idaho (with a regional office in Coeur d’Alene). Website: idahohousing.com
